Nuneaton born, award winning singer Matt Ford returns to the Civic Hall with his stellar Big Band
celebrating Frank Sinatra and the Swing Legends.
Since it began at a local charity concert over 25 years ago, Matt’s career has gone from strength to
Now widely regarded as the finest big band singer of his generation, Matt has built an enviable
wealth of experience, performing three times at the BBC Proms, broadcasting live on BBC television
and radio, and touring the UK’s major theatres and concert halls with the likes of the BBC Big Band,
Halle, City Of Birmingham Symphony, BBC & RTE Concert and John Wilson Orchestras.
Matt has also broadcast on Sky Arts (Cole Porter in Hollywood), ITV (The Alan Titchmarsh Show),
BBC One (The One Show) BBC Two (Newsnight) and BBC Four (The Sound Of Song).
Internationally, Matt has been invited to sing in Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, Austria and Dubai.
So far this year Matt has headlined the Celebration of Sinatra tour (with the London Concert
Orchestra), recorded for BBC Radio 2 (Friday Night Is Music Night), made his debut with the Ulster
Orchestra (Goldfinger – The Music Of James Bond), and performed at music festivals across the UK
Matt’s current big band album Live and Swingin’, recorded at the Civic Hall, has enjoyed regular
airplay on BBC Radio 2.
As always his 17 piece big band will feature the UK’s finest musicians, who, with Matt, will perform a
celebration of the hits of Frank Sinatra, Matt Monro, Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Andy Williams
and many more.
