“Every night of every year, somewhere in the world a Gang Show is playing”.
Gang Show fever has hit again, on a wet Sunday in September the collective acting and singing scouting community of Hinckley gathered to begin the first rehearsal of many, on the long road to the flawless performances that you, the watching public see.
Already fittings have been taken and costumes are being made. Auditions have also taken place to music by both Gary Barlow and the Foo Fighters ‐ what more could you ask for? Singing rehearsals are going well and movement will begin in the next few weeks.
Hinckley Gang Show looks set to be “bigger and better than ever before”.
Spies have already been out sneakily peeking and filtering information, but the cast lists alone will strike awe and wonder into any scout. Just the line‐up of the back row power houses and the promise of traditional meets modern, and the inclusion of some very well‐known wartime tunes, will surely tempt anybody to buy a ticket.
Join in the fun as Wilf and Ethel Pearson try to holiday away from his Mother-in-Law in Huddersfield; and as Henry and Daphne Pepper try and enjoy a honeymoon, helped by a dragon of a landlady Mrs. Austin who swears by her weekly séance sessions in the hope of communicating with her dead husband, and her misguided believe that all her guests are passionate about her bread and butter pudding!
